Todd was born in northwest Ohio, spending most of his early years – then (after some time in the west) his teens– in Findlay. In pursuit of his original goal of a career in research, he earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toledo and a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Washington.
But a funny thing happened on the way to a life in the lab: he got involved in campus ministry through the Wesley Foundation at the University of Washington. He found himself more and more involved in ministry (including leading youth and family programs at Redmond UMC in Redmond, WA). Eventually that call won out. He enrolled in seminary at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City and took his first appointment as a student local pastor. His first full-time appointment after seminary was in Idaho, and he has since served churches in Washington, Montana, and Colorado before being appointed here in Wyoming. Todd was ordained as an Elder in 2007. He is also certified as a Spiritual Director.
Todd is married to Alex, who has a Master’s in Environmental Studies serves as the Director of Science and Research for a non-profit (Women’s Voices for the Earth) that works on issues that impact the health of women and children. They have two daughters, 8th grader Eliza and 6th grader Susanna. They are a musical family, and also love to travel, explore the outdoors, watch movies, and play games.
Todd is a life-long learner and teacher, who loves deep discussions on God, life, or virtually anything else over lunch or a good beverage.

Ann was born in Pittsburgh PA to a steel working family, and she and her family followed the steel industry from Pittsburgh to Minnesota to Ohio and back again to Pennsylvania where she graduated from high school. Ann went to Bethany College where she graduated with a degree in economics and a concentration in accounting. This led to a job with State Farm Insurance where she met her husband Tom. After working at the corporate level, Ann and Tom decided to start their own agency through State Farm, and they moved here to Cheyenne. Here, they raised their three kids Austin, James, and Taylor, all of whom grew up in FUMC.
Ann began working for the church on a temporary basis as the financial director in 2008, a position which she took on permanently in 2009. She brings a wealth of experience and financial acumen to the staff and makes sure that the church’s finances are in order and that we stay on track to serve God in Cheyenne.
Prior to joining the church staff in 1995, Marlyn spent her working years in law offices in various positions from receptionist to office manager of a regional law firm.
